A little help.

Your first file

For a website purchase, open Meiya → License… and enter the code from your Lemon Squeezy receipt. App Store installations do not use a Lemon Squeezy code.

Start dragging a file or folder from Finder toward Meiya’s screen edge. Drop it onto the bear, let go, and open your destination. Show Meiya again and drag the held file out.

Prefer the keyboard? Choose Add Files… in the menu-bar menu. While Meiya is active, File → Add Files… or ⌘O opens the Mac picker.

Find the bear and preview files

Choose Show Meiya from the bear icon in the menu bar, or press ⇧⌘L. Hiding the bear does not empty the shelf. Select a file and press Space for Quick Look; its menu also offers Open and Reveal in Finder.

Reconnect or recover

If a source is unavailable, reconnect its drive and choose Retry, or choose Locate to select the original again. If a saved shelf cannot be read, follow Retry or Restore Backup in the notice. Keep your normal backups: Meiya holds references, not copies of the originals.

Delete or Clear removes references without deleting the original files. Undo Removal or ⌘Z restores a recent removal in the same session. Read about local storage and recovery.

One purchase. Two activated Macs.

The direct download is US$5.99 once, for two activated Mac installations. The license does not expire. There is no subscription and no trial. Separate macOS user accounts or a reset Keychain can use another activation.

Before moving a slot, choose Meiya → License… → Deactivate This Mac while online. Wait for confirmation before activating your next Mac. Uninstalling alone does not release a slot.

A lost Mac or interrupted activation

Contact meiya@arrowplane.ca with your order reference and the random support reference shown by Meiya, if available. Do not send your full license code. Support can locate the affected activation and help release it after verifying the purchase.

If activation could not be confirmed, keep the pending record. Wait for support to check and reset that instance before choosing to clear the pending record and trying again. Repeated attempts can consume another slot. Interrupted deactivation also needs confirmation or support.

Files already held stay retrievable even when unlicensed. Outbound dragging, Clear, Undo and recovery remain available. Only adding new files needs a valid license.

Find your receipt or code

Open Lemon Squeezy My Orders using the email address you used at checkout. Lemon Squeezy sends a sign-in link to that address. Your order contains the receipt and license code. Check your spam folder, or contact meiya@arrowplane.ca if you still cannot find it.

A complimentary discount is redeemed through checkout. The code generated with the order is the one to enter in Meiya; the gift discount itself is not an activation key.

Offline, with an occasional check

A successful license check permits up to 30 days offline. After 7 days, routine verification happens when you launch or foreground Meiya. There is no polling timer or request during a drag; after a failure, at most one automatic attempt happens per day in the current session.

Choose Check License to reconnect manually. Connection errors do not extend the last successful check. If verification is needed, new additions pause and held files remain retrievable. The direct edition sends the license code, a random installation reference and ordinary connection information to Lemon Squeezy, not your files. See the licensing privacy details.

Downloads and updates

For the direct edition, use the download page, quit Meiya normally, and replace the app in Applications. Keep saved shelf and settings data when upgrading.

Verified macOS and processor requirements will be listed with the signed and notarized download.

App Store purchases, eligible devices, downloads, updates and refunds follow Apple’s rules. They are separate from the direct license and do not include a two-activation Lemon Squeezy key.

Do not send license codes, passwords, sensitive original files or bookmark archives. Copy Diagnostics prepares a report on your clipboard; it sends nothing automatically. Review and redact it before sharing because error messages may include file names or paths.
